Sheikh Muhammad Ayyub (1952–2016) was a renowned Saudi Qur’an reciter, imam, and scholar. Born in Mecca, he memorized the Qur’an at a young age before moving to Medina, where he studied at the Islamic University and specialized in Qur’anic studies and tafsir. He served as an imam of the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina and taught tafsir at the Islamic University. His distinctive Hijazi-style recitation became widely known through recordings and broadcasts throughout the Muslim world.
